Privacy Policy
FightersLinked ("we", "us" or "the app") is a combat-sports community platform. This policy explains the information processed by the FightersLinked website and Android application. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to spikechannel22@gmail.com.
Health data disclosure summary
FightersLinked accesses and collects Health Connect data only after you choose to connect Health Connect and grant individual Android permissions. The app reads steps, distance, active calories burned, heart rate, resting heart rate, weight and sleep records. Copies of permitted records are stored in a private on-device app cache and in the signed-in user's private Google Firebase database records so the app can display a performance dashboard and calculate non-medical wellness estimates. FightersLinked does not write data to Health Connect, sell health data, use it for advertising, or make it public.
Information we process
- Account information: email address, authentication identifiers, Google profile details when Google sign-in is chosen, display name and username.
- Fighter and organizer profiles: biography, sport, gym, location, height, weight, competition record, profile media, website, organizer contact and licence/registration evidence supplied for verification.
- User content and communications: posts, captions, stories, highlights, comments, messages, reports, blocks, event pages, gym activity and media uploads.
- Optional Health Connect information: after you opt in and grant the relevant Android permissions, the app reads and collects copies of steps, distance, active calories burned, heart rate, resting heart rate, weight and sleep records. Records include the measurement value, time, unit and source information supplied by Health Connect. FightersLinked requests read access only and does not write to Health Connect.
- Optional device information: camera and microphone content when you start a live stream or record a voice message; precise coordinates only when you actively choose a GPS gym check-in; notification token where supported.
- Technical information: basic device/browser details, network errors, security events and locally cached app data needed to operate and protect the service.
How information is used
We use information to authenticate accounts, display profiles and public posts, deliver messages, upload and play media, operate events and communities, provide optional wellness insights, moderate harmful content, prevent abuse, respond to support and deletion requests, and comply with legal obligations.
Health information is used only for the user's private performance dashboard and related wellness estimates. It is not sold, used for advertising, shared with data brokers, or used to make medical, insurance, lending or employment decisions. Wellness estimates are not medical advice or clearance to train or compete.
Health Connect access, collection and control
- How access starts: Health Connect is optional. FightersLinked does not request or read Health Connect records until you select the connection feature and approve one or more Android Health Connect permissions.
- What is accessed and collected: only the health types you permit from this list: steps, distance, active calories burned, heart rate, resting heart rate, weight and sleep. The app may read up to 100 recent samples per permitted type during a sync.
- How collection continues: after connection, the app may synchronize newly available permitted records when you open FightersLinked. It does not collect health types for which permission was not granted.
- Where copies are stored: permitted records are cached in the app's private local storage and synchronized to the signed-in user's access-controlled Google Firebase Firestore path. They are not displayed on public profiles, posts or leaderboards.
- Why the data is used: to show your private Health Connect summary, trends and non-medical training/recovery estimates inside FightersLinked.
- Sharing: Google Firebase processes the private cloud copy on our behalf as a service provider. We do not sell Health Connect data, disclose it to advertisers or data brokers, or allow other FightersLinked users to access it.
- Your controls: you can revoke individual permissions in Android Health Connect settings. To delete copies already synchronized to FightersLinked, use Disconnect Health Connect in the app or delete your FightersLinked account.
Visibility and sharing
Profile information, posts, stories, highlights, public events and public gym activity may be visible to other signed-in users. Direct messages are visible to their participants. Organizer applications, reports and moderation material are restricted to the applicant/reporter and authorised reviewers where applicable.
We use service providers to operate the app, including Google Firebase for authentication, database and messaging services; Supabase for media storage; Google Health Connect for optional device health access; and ZEGOCLOUD technology where live video features are enabled. These providers process data under their own terms and security controls. Information may be processed in countries outside your country of residence.
Storage and security
We use access controls, encrypted network connections and platform security rules. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Public media links should be treated as content intended for sharing.
Data retention and deletion schedule
- Health Connect records cached on the device: the app keeps a rolling cache of records from approximately the most recent 30 days. Older cached health records are automatically removed when records are merged during synchronization. Disconnecting Health Connect or completing account deletion clears the local health cache and connection status.
- Health Connect records copied to Firebase: private cloud copies are retained while your FightersLinked account remains active and Health Connect remains connected. Selecting Disconnect Health Connect deletes the health records in the user's Firebase health collection and clears the device cache. Completing account deletion also deletes this Firebase health collection. Revoking Android permission stops future access but does not by itself erase copies previously synchronized to FightersLinked.
- Account and profile information: retained while the account is active and deleted when in-app account deletion completes or a verified web/email deletion request is completed.
- Stories: removed from the active story feed after approximately 24 hours.
- Posts, messages and uploaded media: retained until the user deletes eligible content or the associated account is deleted, subject to technical ownership limits described on the deletion page.
- Reports, abuse-prevention and legal records: limited records may be retained only as reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements or comply with law. Where possible, retained records are restricted or anonymised.
- Deletion timing: in-app deletion begins immediately after successful reauthentication. Verified deletion requests submitted through the web/email process are normally completed within 30 days unless a longer period is legally required.
